Hilarious Interlude

About a week ago I had to respond to students' reports on their summer vacations. Here are some of the gems, along with my responses. Have a great weekend, everyone.

"My summer vacation"

I played soccer.
I practiced soccer.
I enjoyed play soccer.
It as a lot of fun.

Me: Wow, you must be very good at soccer now!

I went to my friend Kato's house in August. He lives in Kanazawa. I played games. It was a lot of fun. On the night of August 29, we went to a convenience store. I bought a drink.

Me: What drink was it? This sounds very relaxing!

I went to Noto.
I went to onsen.
I had lunch.
I played games.
I went to bed at 3:00.

Me: Wow, you went to bed late! This sounds like some of my days.

I went to Miyazaki.
I saw animals.
I gave carrots to rabbits and goats.
The ice cream was good.
I had a nice time from August 9 to August 15.

Me: What a fun vacation. I like rabbits and goats too!

I went to Shibamasa, with my fried.
On August 9, we watched a mountain.
I enjoyed the slider.
It was great.

Me: Did you climb up the mountain? There are many mountains in Colorado.

I went to dream lake in August.
I watched fish and mountain.
I caught ten fish.
I had a good time.

Me: I love to fish in Colorado. I have never caught ten fish!

I had an egg,
I played tennis.
I cooked sweet
I had sweet,
I watched TV,
I ran.

Me: This sounds like a busy day!

I went to the movie theater with my friend. I saw a movie there. It was very frightening and mysterious. SO I think I must see the movie again. When I'm free, I sometimes see a movie.

Me: I love movies too!

**This next one is only funny/crazy with the picture. They have to draw an illustration of their vacation as well as describe it.**

I went to my grandmother's house in August. She lives in Noto. I studied math. On the night of August 29, we watched Niwakamaturi It is a festival in town. I was very enjoyed.

Me: This sounds like a good vacation. I hope the person in the picture is ok!
